Santa Maria opens a pub!

Santa Maria, famous for its Neapolitan pizzas (widely awarded the best pizza in London), were recently given the chance to ‘take over’ the pub next door, The Red Lion.  This is one of Ealing’s oldest pubs, and is closely linked to the famous Ealing Studios over the road.  The walls are decorated with pictures of Ealing comedy greats and it’s a really popular Fullers pub with a lovely garden.   Owners Pasquale and Angelo joined the two kitchens up and have created an Italian themed pub menu.  The ‘Marenna’ menu offers stunning Italian sandwiches (made with breaed freshly baked on site that morning) – as well as a burger to die for.  It’s a 6oz chuck burger covered in mountains of melted provola.  The chips are the best I’ve ever had.  All served up with a pint of London Pride and a squeezy bottle of Heinz.  www.santamariapizzeria.com
